Stacking Bracelets

Our beautiful silver stacking bracelets are an easy way to adopt the layered jewellery trend without having to source individual pieces that work well together. These pretty designs can easily be combined with other individual bracelets to create your own unique look.

Stacking bracelets – what’s it all about?

You’ve probably spotted this trend by now – on the catwalk, in the mags and most definitely on the wrists of your favourite celebs. Everyone is stacking bracelets – but what does that even mean?

Simply, it means putting bracelets together to create a look. There’s no set number, or set way to do it and that’s the awesome thing about this trend – it’s all about doing it your own way.

What bracelets are stackable?

Any bracelet is potentially stackable! It’s all about what works well with other bracelets. You can mix materials, textures and styles, with few limitations: charms, bangles, cuffs, expandable tennis bracelets or beads, pretty pearls or gems, leather or woven bracelets, they all have potential. You can go bold with lots of eye-catching pieces or choose simple, delicate styles for a more subtle look. Whatever you decide, you’ll be creating something far more unique and individual than wearing a single piece.

Our layered stackable bracelets are a great starting point for jumping on this trend. First, you’ll immediately have two bracelets in one which complement each other perfectly. Second, because these stacking bracelets are silver, they team up perfectly with a whole host of other styles. You can choose more designs from our bracelet range or bring in your own jewellery.

What to avoid

Sometimes stackable bracelets can look overdone. As a general rule, don’t stack them more than a third of your forearm. Wear less if you’re using both arms. Consider your arm length: longer arms can pull off thicker bracelets, while shorter arms typically look better with thinner styles. These aren’t hard and fast rules, however – see what works for you.

It’s also a good idea to think about where you’ll be wearing your bracelets! If you use a laptop or computer, test out how it feels to type with them on. If you’re making lots of noise, they might annoy your colleagues – and could slow you down! Lighter metal bracelets and/or fabric bands could work better in these scenarios.

Stacking bracelets – it’s not new!

Stacking bracelets is not a new trend and has been seen throughout history in various cultures. The use of stacked bracelets can be traced back to ancient times, where they were worn as a symbol of social status, spiritual significance, or simply as a decorative accessory.

In ancient Egypt, bracelets were worn in sets of several at once, with some made of gold and precious stones, while others were made of colorful beads and ceramics. The same was true in ancient Rome, where stacking bracelets were popular among women and men, with some made of precious metals and others made of leather, glass, or bone.

In more modern times, stacking bracelets have become popular among fashion-forward individuals, and it is not uncommon to see people wearing several bracelets on one arm. Celebrities such as Rihanna, Beyonce, and Blake Lively have all been spotted wearing stacked bracelets.

One celebrity who is particularly known for her love of stacking bracelets is the actress and humanitarian Angelina Jolie. She is often seen wearing several bracelets on one arm, including bangles, cuffs, and beaded bracelets. Jolie’s stacked bracelets are often a mix of styles and colors, creating a unique and personalized look.
